Papaya Spinach Smoothie

As cold and flu season hits, this smoothie is a delicious way to combat winter sickness.  Packed with nutrients and dressed up with the mellow aromas of vanilla and nutmeg, it is the perfect antidote for all that ails you.

Ingredients:

  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1/4 cup red pepper
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup papaya
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 1 packet of stevia
  • 1 handful ice

Method:

  1. Toss all of the ingredients into a blender (I use a Vitamix) and blend until smooth and creamy.
