Restaurant Review: Mia Francesca’s

It’s easy to miss as you’re walking by, but tucked inside the Renaissance hotel in North Hills you’ll find a classy and delicious Italian Trattoria. Mia Francesca’s is more than your typical hotel restaurant. I ate at the Chicago location a few years ago and was excited to hear that owner Scott Harris had expanded the franchise to North Carolina. The restaurant itself has vaulted beamed ceilings and a contemporary-casual atmosphere – you feel like you’ve walked into a bustling New York hot spot. The menu is short, but every dish is unique. Try the Pollo Arrosto alla Romana – a roasted half chicken seasoned with garlic, shallots, rosemary, lemon and olive oil, paired with crispy roasted potatoes, or the house salad which is light and refreshing with romaine, endive, and radicchio tossed with Gorgonzola and fresh vegetables. Authentic Italian food in a chic but cozy setting – it’s hard to beat.
